Calling Plans

Bright House Networks offers two calling plans for Business Phone: Full Featured and Basic. Both plans can provide up to 12 digital-quality lines routed over our private, secure, reliable network. Find Out which plan is right for you.

Full Featured lines allow you to power your business with reliable, digital quality business phone service that is backed by the commitment and personalized service your organization needs. Together with all the features you need for effective business communications including:

• Unlimited local and domestic long distance calling
• A wide variety of calling features

Basic lines include unlimited local calls and feature Caller ID, and additional features can be added for a small monthly fee. Basic lines are designed primarily for:

• Fax lines
• Point of Sale equipment
• Security (dedicated alarm) lines
• Lines that mainly receive incoming calls, rather than initiate outgoing calls

Toll Free Number enables your customers to reach you directly, without being charged for the call. When you request a number you may choose either:

• Receive a number selected from a pool of available numbers
• Port existing toll free numbers to your Bright House Network's account
• Toll Free Number (TFN) buckets of minutes are now available in bundles of 1,000 to 10,000 minutes of in bound calls

Business-level Features

Bright House Networks Business Phone service comes with all the features you need for effective business communications.

Convenience:

• Automated Attendant - acts as a virtual operator/ receptionist without the intervention of a live operator. Answers calls and presents callers with a menu of options and associated prompts to route and connect calls to extensions or voice mail
• Call Forwarding - provides the ability to forward all calls to a specified telephone number
• Call Waiting - alerts the user to another incoming call with a special tone
• Caller ID and Call Waiting ID - displays the name and telephone number of the calling party, even when another call is in progress
• Repeat Dialing - allows you to have your last outbound call automatically redialed when your first attempt reaches a busy number by simply pressing *66
• Call Return - allows you to hear the number of the last incoming call by simply pressing *69
• Three Way Call Conferencing and Transfer - allows you to add a third party to a call (Three Way Conferencing), or to transfer the call to another phone (Three Way Call Transfer)
• Hunt Groups (also known as rollover numbers) - incoming calls can be routed to different extensions automatically, either sequentially, circularly or via uniform call distribution
• Business Voice Mail (optional feature) - retrieves and saves messages. One Voice Mail Box available per phone line
• Speed Dial - allows for 1-digit dialing to frequently dialed numbers
• Three-Way Call with Call Transfer - allows a user to add a third party to an existing two-party call. Call originator can hang up and the remaining two parties can continue the conversation
• Directory Assistance with Call Completion - provides access to 411 directory information and call completion by the operator (additional charges apply)
• Remote Call Forwarding (RCF) - allows incoming calls to be forwarded to another Bright House Networks local or long distance telephone number and provides a local identity for companies without requiring a physical presence in that area
• Remote Access Call Forwarding - allows you to turn on/turn off your call forward feature from anywhere you have an Internet connection, including Call Forward No Answer, Call Forward Busy and Remote access. These can be set from the My Services page.
• Distribution Lists - enables you to edit or hear an existing list and create a new list

Privacy:

• Caller ID Blocking/Unblocking - blocks/restores the delivery of the customer's name and number when a call is placed
• Anonymous Call Rejection - blocks unwanted calls from callers who restrict sending caller ID information

Security:

• Enhanced 911 - automatically provides business name, telephone number and address to 911 emergency dispatchers
• Additional Charges Blocking - blocks various call types that generate additional charges (e.g.,411)
• Block Inbound Calls - restricts inbound calls. Line will allow outbound calls only
• Block Outbound Calls - restricts outbound calls. Line will allow inbound calls only
• Inbound/Outbound Call Restriction Options - allows a customer to restrict certain types of inbound and/or outbound calls on a per-line basis (e.g., International and 900 calls)
• Operator Assistance - provides specialized assistance in placing calls or call interruption in case of emergency (additional charges apply)
• Account Codes - allows you to assign codes to charge calls to user projects, departments or other special accounts
